Volkswagen recently added a 1.2 GTi Polo to its current line up. Now the company is all set to roll out their new Polo Crossover by the end of this month. This crossover has been spotted on various occasions and is most likely to be equipped with a TSI 1.2 liter petrol engine which is also powering the new Polo GT.
This VW Crossover is having is 14mm taller than the current Polo. It is running on alloy wheels with a 17 inch diameter. There is black plastic covering around the wheel arches, side sills and bumpers which make the car look very rugged. The car also endorses roof rails, making the car appear more aggressive than the regular Polo.
Talking about the engine specs, this Cross Polo will be using the same engine that powers up the regular Polo hatchback. Inorder to make the car more appealing, the company has equipped this car with a TSI 1.2 liter petrol having a maximum power output of 105 bhp. It is also expected that the Cross Polo will be the first VW vehicle to carry their new 4 cylinder diesel engine of 1.5 liter capacity. The best part is that this new engine has been designed for the Indian market.
The company has not revealed the exact price at which the Cross Polo will be offered. We expect that the car will cost around Rs 6 lacs to Rs 8.5 lacs. After its launch, the car will compete with the Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster.
