Honda Cars India is a subsidiary of the Japan Honda. After the launch of the Amaze, Honda Cars India has seen a rise in the domestic sales by 63%, which is equivalent to additional sale of 8913 units. New Honda Civic
The moment Civic was launched in the Indian market, it outsold its competitors as a result of its looks and features. With the passage of time and diesel cars having greater demand than the petrol cars, the sales for Civic continuously fell. The new Civic 2013 will be launched for debut at the LA Auto Show. The new Civic has been given a sportier look with honey comb mesh grille, lower front bumpers and new integrated fog lights. Though the specifications of the car are not yet available, there is a surety of the interiors and exteriors having considerable changes. The Civic is expected to be launched by January 2014 having a price tag of Rs.12.2- 15 lakhs.
New Honda Accord
As Toyota was planning to launch the new Camry in the Indian market, Honda revealed the new Accord. It has been a long time since the old Accord had been launched and thus it was time for the new Accord with stylish looks added to it. The front end of the car has been given a sportier look with sporty LED headlamps and a change in the rear lamps as well. The Accord is expected to be launched by January 2014 with a price tag of Rs.18-23 lakhs.
New Honda Jazz
Though the Jazz had done quite well in the market at the beginning, due to competitors the sales of the car fell to a great extent. The new Jazz has improvements with regards to the interiors, exteriors, driving dynamics, fuel economy and engine performance. The twin pod headlights make the car look sporty along with the front bumpers being shaped with the air dams. The Jazz will be powered by a 1.2litre or 1.5-litre engines which are considered to be high performance engines. The car is expected to be launched by February 2014 with a price tag of Rs.5-7.6 lakhs.
Honda Brio Diesel
As Honda does not have many cars with the diesel variant, the sales of the Honda cars have been affected to a great extent after the increase in petrol prices. Honda for this reason will be launching the diesel variant of Brio by May 2014. The car will be equipped with a 1.4-litre iDTEC engine which will be able to produce maximum power of 80-90bhp. Brio is a good blend of looks, space and features. The diesel variant of the car is expected to be priced a little higher than the petrol variant at Rs.5-6.5 lakhs.
Honda City Diesel
After the launch of the Amaze, Honda decided to launch the diesel variant of the Honda City as well. Looking at the sales figure of Amaze, the company did not think twice before planning to launch the diesel variant of Honda City. The new Honda City will be powered by a 1.5-litre engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power of 100bhp. This car has been recommended by Honda for people who want a good performance level along with phenomenal efficiency. The car is expected to be launched by June 2014 with a price tag of Rs.8.5- 11 lakhs.
