Tata Motors is going to come up with two models for the Indian market. One is the Tata Kite hatchback and the other is a sub-4 metre compact saloon. The Tata’s upcoming sub-4 metre saloon has been spied. According to the sources, the platform has been improved for better strength and stability,yet the key details are still not disclosed..
The images shows that the sub-4 metre saloon comes with sloping roofline, that is generally present in the form of fastback design, and the car also gets a smart design for the alloy wheels. The front fascia of the compact saloon will be similar to Kite hatchback sibling, though the side and rear profile looks different. The makeshift tail lamp clusters has been fitted in the model.
Both the Kite offsprings are based on a completely re-designed Tata Indica platform. The carmaker claims that it has made significant improvements to the platform frameworks Kite siblings. It will be replacing the Indigo eCS, in the private car market. The model may also support an e-clutch that may make its way into the Kite siblings. The Tata’s upcoming sub-4 metre saloon features a new 1.2-litre 3-pot petrol and 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel engines.
The Tata Kite hatchback will possibly hit the Indian markets in the end part of 2015, and the Kite compact saloon will be launched in late 2015 or early 2016.
