Looks like Mahindra is working on a new version of the Maxximo pickup truck. According to reports the vendor will soon release a new truck that is codenamed as Maxximo P601 pickup truck that will be put into the market to compete against the likes of the Tata Super Ace and Ashok Leyland Dost. The upcoming Mahindra truck has been spotted on the roads of Tamil Nadu where the company is taking road trials of the truck. It has been put on mass production in the new factory of Mahindra in Cheyyar in Tamil Nadu.
Not a much of the design of the next gen Mahindra truck has been spotted in these live leaked images. But it looks like it will arrive with a front bumper, which looks a lot similar to the Ashok Leyland Dost. It will be reportedly powered by a CRDE turbo engine fuelled by diesel. This engine is going to provide power to the rear wheels of this truck. To compete against the likes of the rival brands, Mahindra will also reportedly offer the Maxximo P601 with some comfortable features like air conditioner and the power steering etc. Tata and Ashok Leyland are already offering these comforts into their trucks.
According to reports the Mahindra Maxximo P601 will be released sometimes around next year. It will be reportedly the first commercial vehicle from the latest production factory of Mahindra, recently setup in Tamil Nadu.
