The much speculatl has just got revealed though some leaked patent images prior to the vehicle’s official unveiling. The new Chevy Liva compact SUV is a new vehicle model that the American car major, General Motors is planning to launch in the car market of Russia. This compact sports utility vehicle model is also thought to be similar to that of the Adra model which is finally expected to be an India bound vehicle, and is likely to launch in 2016.
As revealed in the leaked out images, the new upcoming Chevrolet Liva SUV model is basically the production model of the company’s concept vehicle that was showcased with the same name in the last year. The production model of the Chevrolet Liva compact SUV seems to be identical to its concept model with only slight change that comes in the wheel design. The concept model featured large wheels, while the production version does with something smaller. The new SUV model that will be making its way to India will be very similar to this Liva and General Motors is going to offer this one to the Indian car market under the brand name of Chevrolet. The upcoming new compact SUV model from the stable of General Motors’ Chevrolet will be rivaling the other compact SUV models such as the newly launched Mahindra TUV300 Ford EcoSport and also the likes of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha.
Now, the new upcoming compact SUV model from Chevrolet that is going to come to the car market of India and is expected to be very similar to the leaked out Chevrolet Liva compact SUV is said to be called the Chevrolet Adra. However, not many details regarding the new upcoming Chevrolet Adra compact SUV are available right now, but it is being highly speculated that the model will be offered for sale in India in both petrol as well as diesel guises. The Adra petrol version is expected to be getting powered by a 1.2 liter motor that does duty under the hood of the Chevrolet Sail, while the diesel version is expected be the very familiar Fiat sourced 1.3 liter MultiJet mill that does under the hood of so many Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Fiat cars models in the Indian car market.
It is thought that the Indian spec model of the Chevrolet Liva or the expected Adra SUV might not be a very affordably priced vehicle. The Adra compact SUV’s base model is expected to be priced at around Rs 6 lakhs, while the price tag for the top of the range model could be around at Rs 10 lakhs. As this will be a more premium compact SUV model, Chevrolet is also expected to eventually bring in an automatic transmission version as well as an all wheel drive version as well at a later date in order to lure in more buyers for this new SUV model. The new Chevrolet Adra is expected to launch in India in early 2016.
