Hyundai unveils 2014 Elantra at the LA Motor Show

The South Korean auto making giant, Hyundai, has unveiled the 2014 Elantra sedan at the ongoing event of the LA (Los Angeles) International Auto Show. The design of this model remains the same but the car has received several minor tweaks and features.


The new Elantra is endorsing a newly designed front and rear along with new elements for the interior. The car will also see new technological features like the installation of the next gen navigation system and audio technology which will have a user friendly interface, improved navigation screens, enhanced voice recognition and Pandora internet radio. The cabin is showcasing a 4.3 inch color touch screen with an integrated rear view camera. These features will be made available on the base level model SE, in the Preferred Package and as standard equipments on the Elantra Limited and Sport.

The Elantra is endorsing more elongated fog lamps in the front while the tail lights have received an LED treatment. The car has also received new hill start assist control, standard blue link, new driver’s blind spot and Hyundai assurance connected care. The minor additions although not easily visible at the first sight but have imparted a more elegant look to the car.

The 2014 Elantra is equipped with a 2 liter engine. It is expected that the car will be launched in India as well and the company might choose the next year’s Indian Auto Expo to introduce the model.
