Hyundai, one of the most desired cat makers in India is ready to launch the elegant vehicle; Elantra in August. It was first launched in India in the year 2004. This vehicle was very popular in the Indian market at that time. This sedan from Hyundai was discontinued due to poor sales in the year 2007. This is the fifth generation of Hyundai cars and this time Hyundai is launching the sedan which has won international appreciation. The new model of Elantra with fluidic design was exhibited at the Delhi Auto Expo this year.

To woo the customers Hyundai has offered the interiors of new sedan similar to the popular models like Verna and Sonata. In the international market Elantra is available in both diesel and petrol version. According to the speculations about the engines of Elantra, the petrol version is expected to be empowered with powerful 1.8L engine which will be able to deliver maximum power of 150 PS. It is expected that the diesel version of Elantra will draw its power from 1.6 l CRDI engine. This machine can churn out the power of about 128PS.

Hyundai is planning to place this enchanting vehicle in the price range of RS 13 lakh to 16 lakh. Hyundai Elantra will have to compete with rivals in the Indian market such as Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Volkswagen Jetta, Renault Fluence etc. In short it will not be very easy for Hyundai Elantra to get established in the Indian market.
