Hyundai has revealed several pictures and details of the facelifted Elantra saloon. This model was spotted earlier test driving in Korea. The car will be launched internationally later this month.
Hyundai launched Elantra in the year 1990. This car is known as Hyundai Avante in South Korea. At present Elantra is in its 5th generation which was launched in the year 2011. The car is produced in India locally at a plant in Chennai.
The facelifted model shows a modified front as well rear bumper. The car enjoys an increased length of 4550 mm now. The pictures revealed by Hyundai show that this Elantra has received only a mild upgrade as compared to the present Elantra. The car shows a slightly modified grille and fog lamps. The car also gets 17 inch 2 tone alloy wheels. The headlamps have been updated with LED daytime running lights. The tail lights are also showing partial LED elements.
The spy shots which have been revealed, do not show the car’s interior but Hyundai has revealed certain changes that have been made. The front arm rest has been slightly elevated and the central air vent has also been moved upwards towards the dashboard. This new facelifted Elantra also offers ventilated rear seats. The cabin will also show a new 3.5 inch LED screen. The car will also have Smart Parking Assist system.
It is expected that Hyundai will launch the new facelifted Elantra in India, later this year or in early 2014.
