Honda, the Japanese auto making giant, is working really hard to make a mark on the Indian car market. The company launched the Amaze saloon in India which has rocked this segment. With this the company also launched for the first time its 1.5 liter diesel engine exclusive for the country. The company is now all set to reveal its new next gen City. It has also been reported that the company is going to display the new hatchback, Jazz and the Brio based MPV, Honda Mobilio at the upcoming event of the 2014 Indian Auto Expo going to held in New Delhi.
Honda will be offering the new Jazz with 2 engine options – EarthDreams diesel engine of 1.5 liter capacity and a petrol engine of 1.2 liter capacity.
It has been reported that the Jazz will be positioned between the Amaze saloon and the Brio. It is being expected that the company will launch this car at a more affordable price as compared to the last gen model. It may be because the high price tag associated with the last gen model was one of the biggest hurdles it faced during its stay in the market.
Talking about the new Mobilio MPV, it will be launched as both diesel and petrol powered variants. The Mobilio will compete with the current best seller in this segment, Maruti Ertiga.
Hence it can be said that Honda has planned quite a treat for the Indian buyers.
