Eicher Polaris has come up with its new model Multix. The basic objective behind the launch of the model is to serve the flexible transportation to the independent Indian businessman. The model is affordable one and fulfill both personal as well as professional purposes. The Eicher Polaris Multix comes with utilitarian pickup van and a generator that can supply electricity to the small scale operations.
The model features a 511 cc single cylinder diesel engine sourced from Greaves Cotton. The compact oil burner generates a power output of 9.92 PS and a torque of 27.1 Nm. The transmission is a 4-speed manual unit. The independent suspension is adapted from Polaris ATVs. The model supports a base of steel tubular spaceframe. The dimension of the model measures 3,235 mm in length, 1,585 mm in width, 1,856 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 225 mm. The kerb weight ranges from 650 – 750 kg.
The hind part of the model supports an X-port generator. The generator can make 3 KW of electricity that can be used to power a house or business place. This will help to reduce the regular electricity blackouts. The model is availed in two variants – AX+ and MX. The former will support an open cabin whereas the latter will come with enclosed cabin. The variants will be priced for Rs 2.32 and 2.72 lakhs respectively. The personal vehicle arrives with a flexible seating configuration and can extend the load volume from 480 litres to over 1,900 litres.
The model will go for a test drive in July and is expected to launch in the month of August.
