The premium German Carmaker, Audi had launched in India, in the month of January the new 2013 Audi R8 in three variants including R8 V8 Coupe, R9 V10 Coupe and R8 V10 Spyder that it had priced at Rs. 1.34 crore, Rs. 1.57 crore and Rs. 1.73 crore respectively. Now, Audi India has planned to launch the high-end variant, Audi R8 V10 Plus in the Indian market on April 4 2013 at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
Audi R8 V10 Plus gets powered with a 5.2-litre, V10 Lamborghini engine, which is the same power unit that has been powering the R8 V10 Coupe and R8 V10 Spyder. However, in this top variant the engine is capable of deriving 575 bhp of peak power along with a maximum torque of 550 Nm, which is an increased output as compared to the 550 bhp and 540 Nm torque figure of the lower variants. The engine has been mated to a seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox and makes the sports car capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km h within negligible 3.5 seconds. The R8 V10 Plus can attain a top speed of 317 km h and is 3 km h quicker than the R8 V10 Coupe
Audi R8 V10 Plus being the fastest Audi assembly ever, is envisaged to hit the Indian market in order to fluctuate the country’s present imported vehicle sales figure. Relying on the post-budget cost of the Audi R8 V10 (Rs. 1.81 crore), we may expect the R8 V10 Plus to arrive accompanied by a price tag over Rs. 2 crore.
