As per the sources, the all new Honda Amaze sedan is on the anvil in Japan. The next generation model of the Japanese sub-compact sedan will be coming with some major changes when it comes to features and design both on the outside as well as on the inside. The report also says that the compact SUV will also come with a number of additional safety features which would be making the vehicle safer than the current generation model and will also make it compliant to the new future mandatory safety norms which will come into effect in the Auto industry by the year 2020.
The Japanese car major has already pointed out that the company has increased its focus on the overall safety measures and technology of its vehicles by announcing its plans to add the crucial safety feature of dual front airbags as a standard fitment by April next year to all its new upcoming cars as well as existing models. The company’s president and CEO, Katsushi Inoue has said during the launch of the refreshed Amaze model earlier this month that vehicle safety is Honda’s top priority. All Honda car models that are sold in India come with Advanced Compatibility Engineering structure that ensures the car’s enhanced structural rigidity and integrity on the event of collision to protect its occupants.
It is thought that the India-spec all new Honda Amaze will hit the production not before June 2018. The Amaze first launched in India back in April 2013, has managed to sell a total 196,032 units till now. In Amaze has been a game changer for Honda Cars India, however with the advent of many great new market rivals the car’s demands have fallen a bit. In February this year, the Amaze sold 4,069 units as against earlier average monthly sales which used to be around 5,500 to 6,500 units.
On 3rd of March, 2016 Honda Cars India launched the new Amaze facelift model which is the vehicle’s first refresh after three years of its first market launch in 2013 when it was India’s most fuel efficient car powered by its 1.5 liter Earth Dreams diesel mill that offered a fuel efficiency of 25.8 kmpl.
The new facelifted 2016 Honda Amaze sub-4 meter compact sedan is currently available in India in 6 petrol models and 4 diesel variants, and the car has a price range of Rs. 529,900 to Rs. 819,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new refreshed Amaze gets manufactured at the company’s Greater Noida plant while the older model of the Amaze was getting manufactured at both the company’s Greater Noida as well as the Tapukara plants due to its earlier higher demands.
The next generation model of the Honda Amaze is expected to get more stylish exterior design, while on the inside also the Japanese car major is expected to fully overhaul the cabin design to heighten its appeal, as the current-gen Amaze’s interiors are criticized. The all new model is likely to boost the sales of the Honda Amaze.
