7 New upcoming cars that are coming our way in May

The Indian car market is always buzzing with innumerable new model launches. The current year 2016 is still young and has already witnessed a whole bunch of new car launches in India. The running month of May has already seen two highly anticipated launches among others in the form of the new generation Toyota Innova Crysta MPV and the Honda BR-V compact SUV, while a lot more are yet to come.

Following are the 7 upcoming new car models that are set to come in May, 2016:

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

As per the reports, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross premium pickup model is going to be priced at Rs. 12.49 lakh and the company has already started accepting the bookings for the vehicle.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is the first product to roll out of the company’s brand new manufacturing facility in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.

Volkswagen Ameo

Volkswagen India has confirmed that the pre-launch bookings for the all-new Ameo compact sedan will commence on 12th of May 12, 2016, while the actual market launch may happen sometime later.

The India-specific German sedan will pack in a 1.2 liter petrol and a 1.5 liter diesel motors.

Updated Mahindra TUV300 with mHawk100

The Mahindra TUV300 is reportedly going to get the NuvoSport’s mHawk100 engine as an option. The updated TUV300 is expected to launch on 12th May.

The 1.5 liter mHawk100 diesel mill would offer a 100 hp of max power and 240 Nm of top torque.

Mercedes GLS

The new Mercedes GLS is essentially the revamped Mercedes GL, which will hit the Indian car market on 18th of May.

The facelift luxury SUV will be assembled at Mercedes-Benz India’s Puna based manufacturing facility like its predecessor. The GLS will be at par with the German luxury car giant’s other offerings, and will flaunt LED headlights and other premium features as standard.

Maruti Swift Limited Edition model

Maruti Suzuki India has already announced the launch of a limited edition model of the popular Swift that is likely to launch in the country in a couple of week’s time.

The Indo-Japanese car major is conducting a contest at present on the social media platform where the users can suggest a new name for this limited edition Swift model.

Datsun redi-GO

The pre-launch bookings for the much awaited Datsun redi-GO has already commenced this month with an advanced token payment of only Rs. 5,000.

However, the actual market launch of the redi-Go hatchback is likely to take place later this month. The company has not announced the launch date yet, but has confirmed that the new car will be priced highly aggressively in the range of Rs. 2.5 to Rs. 3.5 lakh.

Maruti Alto 800 facelift

The new refreshed 2016 Alto 800’s market launch is imminent as it is already reaching the dealerships. The facelift Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is expected to hit the car market of India in the coming days within this month.
